My therapeutic approach is based on empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. I aim to establish a secure and supportive environment where clients can comfortably explore their thoughts and feelings. I offer a person-centered therapeutic approach that includes mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, cognitive behavioral techniques, psychoeducation, and therapeutic journaling. These methods are all grounded in a trauma-informed and holistic perspective. Since there is no one-size-fits-all counseling theory, we may explore different approaches to support your journey.
I earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Arizona and an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University. I am a nationally certified rehab counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor associate (LMHCa). I am eager to engage in further research, such as the paper on mindfulness training and vocational rehabilitation counselor burnout.
"There is a profound connection between the expression of grief and finding a genuine expression of belonging."
